Services expand
Catholic Social Services of Holly Springs (a ministry of Sacred Heart Southern Missions), recently opened a second office in nearby Ashland. The space was provided by the Benton County Board of Supervisors. According to Sr. Joel Curcio, program manager, the new office will satisfy a critical need in the county. Sr. Mary Ann Grausam has already begun “Parent as Teacher” classes and there are plans for Sr. Lisa Polega to bring job readiness training to the area as well. Staff are at the office only one day a week, but it is hoped that services can soon expand beyond that.
